Office of Secretary of Defense awards computer vision R&D contract to VIPMobile – March 2010 VIPMobile has been awarded a R&D government contract from Office of Secretary of Defense to continue its advancements in computer vision and to develop a software solution that autonomously detects and analyzes unusual human activity and behavior in order to prevent terrorist and criminal activity. ARINC/VIPMobile Team continues work on Counter Narco-Terrorism Contract with $15B program ceiling – January 2010 ARINC Engineering Services, LLC, a Prime Contractor, and teaming partner, VIPMobile, Inc., its small business R&D Subcontractor, continue teaming and work under CNTPO. ARINC and team were awarded a prime contract with the Department of Defense (DOD) Counter Narcotics Technology Program Office (CNTPO) for FY2007 – FY2012 with a $15 billion program ceiling. The mission of this office is to provide technology and other services to the Department of Defense, other federal agencies, partner nations and state and local authorities engaged in counter drug and counter narco-terrorism operations. This contract is to provide critical equipment, material, and services required to support DOD CNTPO operations. These support services involve technology development and application of new counter-drug technologies. While requirements are worldwide, currently the primary countries of interest are Colombia and Afghanistan. Other major Subcontractors on the ARINC Prime Team include: the Boeing Company, L-3 Communications, CCE and Triple Canopy.
